Vanilla Gooey Butter Cake - 8x8 pan cut & wrapped
These could possibly be the best bars ever! They are made up of a dense, cakey bottom layer and a gooey top layer of cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar. These are very rich and very sweet, so a little goes a long way, lol. I found this recipe in my beloved family cook book, and it didn't sound that impressive, but holy mackerel, was I wrong!
We only use all natural ingredients, including eggs from our free range hens, and never any preservatives. The cake is sent cut into bars, then wrapped in cling film so you can pop it in the fridge or freezer. These are REALLY soft on top. I highly suggest chilling them, then remove the wrap and let them come to room temp.
